These were excellent modes of transportation around the jungle of Costa Rica... until I got a flat tire. FANTASTIC.

Orlando

I'm flying to Orlando tonight for the North American Food Equipment and Manufacturing Show. Yippee! If anything, it's at least a few firsts for me-

My first red-eye flight
My first trade show
My first time to Florida
My first time flying absolutely alone (I've always had at least a friend with me)
Apparently it will also be my first toga party... which I will be attending with my boss and our East Coast Sales Manager. I am told that there is no better way to bond with your employer than over a few drinks, but this whole thing sounds like shenanigans to me. We'll see!

Anyway, I'll be flying back to San Diego to arrive around noon on Sunday. Then it's right back to the grind Monday morning. Stay positive! And drink copious amounts of coffee...

hooray! california was fun, as always. got to see some family, eat some good eats, catch up with some friends, and spend time with my boo. (pictured below with me in santa cruz)

we also saw some sea lions in santa cruz and went through the john muir redwood forest, which was sweet. here's pics!

awesome is the name of the game.

I GRADUATED. everything's coming up roses for me. an awesome cookout with the fam and friends on a beautiful day, an awesome diploma, an awesome new macbook pro, an awesome boyfriend, an awesome summer ahead. things couldn't be better. first road trip of the season starts tuesday. i can't wait. then in 3 weeks, boston. then in july, california. things are smashing and i can't stop smiling.

Back in action! This week is the SGC Printmaking Conference at VCU and things are wild. I'm uploading some Costa Rica pix and I have no idea why this one is sideways, but just turn your head and enjoy.

Fecal Face

Fecal Face just released a how-to on train hopping. They say it's the not the end all be all guide, but it's pretty effing interesting and informative, with plenty of awesome pictures and tips.
It also makes me want to quit everything and just travel!

this is what i did in maine.

vacation!

so in 6 hours i leave for a week in Maine. I'm stoked about doing absolutely nothing for 6 straight days. updates when i return!

so i've been traveling...

this week was NYC. too long to go into. but amazing.
i'd say it was "a rich experience and eye-opening view into the life of professional artists"!
now i'm in philly for a short bit but i get back to richmond tonight.
so the daily drawings with resume tomorrow!

road trips

philly was mega-rad (for lack of better or more appropriate adjectives). it was fun meeting new people that i actually felt comfortable with and will talk to in situations outside of some random bar.
now it's back to the grind before my one billionth semester of school starts.
i am developing a new index card project. more about that to come.
